Mission Statement

 Welcome to the International Chiu Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis Association (Hong Kong headquarters) website.

  This site is dedicated to the memory of Grandmaster Chiu Chuk Kai who is survived by his wife Mrs. Chiu Lum Miu Ling and his son Chiu Hon Lun, Alan. It was Grandmaster Chiu’s wish to unite all of Tai Chi Praying Mantis practitioners as one family. Grandmaster Chiu’s widow and his son aspired to carry out his final wish. Since the millennium year, Mrs. Chiu Lam Miu Ling and the only son of Grandmaster Chiu, Alan Chiu, have developed the concept of “International Chiu Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis Association” and a corresponding website in Hong Kong. They have led the operation for the emerging organization. Following the strict discipline of the late Grandmaster, with united efforts, the organization is to nurture a new generation of authentic and outstanding Chiu Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis practitioners, who will uphold the tradition and reach out to all Kung Fu communities in the spirit of knowledge exchange, promote unity of brotherhood, and creating new bonds of friendships.

 Since Grandmaster Chiu Chuk Kai passed away on August 4, 1991, his students have been preoccupied with other work and careers. This brings the operation of the former Alumni almost to a halt nearly fifteen years long. In the beginning of 2006, a meeting of the students of the late Grandmaster Chiu was held and a resolution was reached. It recognizes the amount of work and difficulties of connecting all of the late Grandmaster’s students; therefore, the meeting adopted the resolution of forming “International Chiu Chuk Kai Tai Chi Praying Mantis Association” and a corresponding website in Hong Kong, which will be officially open on January 1, 2007, headed by Alan Chiu. The primary objective is to connect our members of the Kung Fu family all over the world and to provide a platform for information exchange. It is the continuous and collective effort of the “International Chiu Chuk Kai Praying Mantis Association” under the leadership of Mrs. Chiu Lam Miu Ling and Mr. Chiu Hon Lun to organize precious information, unify curriculum, establish an examination standard, and host various events. Most important of all it is to nurture the next generation practitioners, who will carry the torch of CCK TCPM.

 As we look forward to the future, the worldwide representatives of will take turn to host tournaments and various events. This collective effort will help spread CCK TCPM worldwide. It is with great endeavors that we step forward into the new era facing challenges such new trends and new technologies.

 Finally, the Association wishes to reach out to all of our member schools globally and endeavors to provide a modest funding annually through fund raising efforts as a token of filial piety for the widow of Grandmaster Chiu. Thank you for supporting the project.

 歡迎瀏覽『國際趙竹溪太極螳螂總會』香港網站。本網站謹為遵照先師 趙竹溪遺訓﹐團結世界各地同門，同心合力發揚竹溪太極螳螂門之傳統武術及武德。而于千禧年間，由趙師遺孀 林妙玲女士及哲嗣 趙漢麟﹐於香港設定『國際趙竹溪太極螳螂總會』及綱站之慨念，並督導籌辦會內一切事務。秉承 先師嚴訓，發揮團結精神，務求培養出正統而出色的竹溪太極螳螂新一代門人以承先啟後﹐我武維揚﹐廣結武林同道﹐宏揚國萃﹐延傳後世。

 自從先師 趙竹溪師父於1991年8月4日仙遊之後，各同門也因生活和工作問題, 各有各忙, 導至失去聯絡, 而從前的同學會也因這問題令會務停頓下來, 而且接近十五年之久。在2006年年初，一次同門聚會中, 監于先師門下弟子遍布世界各地﹐聯絡工作艱鉅﹐大家取得共識，由趙漢麟帶領組織總會，並取名『國際趙竹溪太極螳螂總會』及設置網站定于2007年1月1日正式開放。其主要目的是希望能夠重新結集香港及海外各同門的凝聚力，除為同門提供平台交流外，也集合各同門的力量把趙師留下的寶貴資料重新整理，統一教學內容、設定考核制度、舉辦各式活動。並致力培育新一代青苗，把竹溪太極螳螂門更加發揚光大。

 展望未來﹐『國際趙竹溪太極螳螂總會』之世界各地代表將會輪流舉辦競賽及各項交流活動﹐使竹溪太極螳螂門廣傳世界﹐團結一致﹐勇敢面對新潮流﹐新科技﹐邁向新紀元。

 最後本會每年會透過各項收益及籌款活動撥出款項提交 趙師遺孀以表孝心﹐多謝各位支持。
